Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Budget Habit — Budget Tracker app and website, operated by a self-employed individual based in Canada. By installing or using them, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using Budget Habit you confirm you are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly about any unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
Use the app for personal, non-commercial budgeting. Do not misuse the service — no hacking, reverse engineering, scraping, overloading our systems, or activity that harms others or breaks the law.
Family sharing
You may invite family members to a shared budget. You are responsible for who you invite and what you share; invited members can see and add data in the shared budget. Only invite people you trust.
Subscriptions and payments
Core features are free. Optional paid plans are sold as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play under their terms and managed via RevenueCat. Prices and renewals are shown before purchase; manage or cancel in your store account.
Your data
The budget data you enter belongs to you. You can export or delete it as described in the Privacy Policy. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display it to operate the service.
Not financial advice
Budget Habit is a tracking tool, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions about your money are yours. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Availability and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. You may stop using the app and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province where the provider resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will revise the date above and announce material changes in the app or on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
